چکیده
INTRODUCTION Urachal adenocarcinoma is a very rare type of all the bladder neoplasms, typically arises in the remnant of the allantoic stalk. Its annual incidence is estimated to be 1 in 5 million individuals and the majority of patients are in the 5th and 6th decades of life with presenting symptoms of mucusuria, hematuria, irritative voiding symptoms, and palpable suprapubic mass. Urachal adenocarcinomas typically involves the wall of the bladder and may exhibit ulceration of the overlying urothelium. We here report a case with a huge dimensions of urachal adenocarcinoma without involvement of the bladder wall.

Urachal adenocarcinomas are very rare and about one third of these neoplasms arise in urachal remnants. To demonstrate the origin of the urachal adenocarcinoma is not easy, but it is very important for managing patient care. We report on a 35-year-old man who complained of a palpable mass in the periumbilical area. The mass was incidentally identified 10 days earlier. Computed tomography reveal...
متن کاملA rare case of recurrent urachal adenocarcinoma of the bladder.
Urachal carcinoma is a rare, aggressive malignancy accounting for less than 1% of bladder neoplasms. These tumours are usually adenocarcinomas and occur at the dome or anterior wall of the bladder. They often escape early clinical detection, growing for prolonged periods prior to diagnosis, resulting in local invasion and systemic spread before therapeutic intervention is initiated. We present ...

She presented with vaginal spotting. Abdominal CT revealed a huge multiloculated cystic mass in the recto-uterine pouch and a solid mass with dot calcification in the anterior pelvic cavity. The resecte...

متن کاملThe Youngest Korean Case of Urachal Carcinoma
Urachal anomalies are relatively uncommon and result from incomplete obliteration of the urachus perinatally. In children, most urachal diseases including urachal cysts and sinuses are benign, and these can sometimes become secondarily infected. Malignant involvement of the urachus is rarely reported, one in 5 million people, accounting for 0.35% to 0.7% of all bladder cancers. There are only f...
